Ivory Serra has an inimitable way of capturing the fabric of New York's downtown skate and art scene during some of it's most precious and unhinged moments - one of my favorite photo's of his appeared in today's New York TIMES commemorating New York Skateboard legend Andy Kessler. The accompanying article by Bret Anthony Johnston is well worth the read and celebrates a life that covered the concrete jungle of NYC with verve and style that is indelibly scratched into the asphalt surface of this city.
