Die Antwoord goes global

8 weeks ago when I was in Cape Town my friends showed me the work of "Die Antwoord" -- we had a good laugh and loved it for all of it's music video clichés and how it turned rap and the conjunctive tongue of Afrikaans on it's ear. Now it's somewhat of a global phenomenon. On the back of this they just signed to Interscope records. In the age of digital viral social memes... this is one more notation in the path to new global media phenomenons... These are how the latest sensations are made and as Ninja, the lead member/rapper of Die Antwoord ("The Answer" in English) says: "Become the Enemy" when advising Jimmy Iovine of Interscope on how to overtake what the Internet has done to the record industry. Read more about them through this link to Boing Boing.
