Is Photography Over?

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is holding a symposium called "Is Photography Over?" -- an account about it was posted on Foto8 -- I took a blurb from the article

Photography’s value is where you find it: As it appears, informs, conforms, collaborates, defies, or otherwise becomes part of the process of making meaning. As Fred Ritchin (who would have added an interesting perspective to this program) writes, “The history of media is not a linear narrative following a neat progression. It is a chaos of possibilities that emerge and recede, back up and move forward, crisscrossing one another.”

The meetings occur over April 22nd and 23rd -- it will be interesting to hear what comes of the gathering...
