This morning I read a NY Times article about the Sunday Bloody Sunday commission report written by Bono. To give you an even greater context to this article (I think one of Bono's best), Gilles Peress was in Derry that day in Northern Ireland photographing the events when the British troops opened fire -- Gilles was a young photojournalist at the time, in coincidence we had a really insightful conversation last weekend about this event at his house in Brooklyn about an American Indian Shaman that was at a Sunday Bloody Sunday healing gathering many years later.... reading this article provides an amazing backdrop to the consciousness of standing up for what's right and believing in the ability that the distinctive elements of grace and healing are possible when truth is present...
the events...

More through Gilles eyes.
